Noise Destruction
The band was formed in December 1992, with DJ Fakir, DJZ and Bobby as its first members. By the end of 1992 they had made their first successful single, "Laki je malo nervozan", which became a big hit. Because of that, the band decided to work on an album.
In May 1993 Vanja joined them, and they made their first cassette release, also called "Laki je malo nervozan", which included ten tracks. Besides their studio work, the band started organizing parties around Novi Sad's Contrast and Paradiso clubs. During 1993 there was huge interest in both the band and its parties.
In January 1994 Noise Destruction organized the Techno Therapy
party at the SPENS sports center, which drew around 3,500 visitors, amazed by
the band's live act. Soon after the event, they started work on their second
album, simply called The Second Strike. In March 1994 Noise Destruction
played in Belgrade for the first time, at the new club
Industria. It was also their first
live appearance outside Novi Sad. Until the end of 1994 the band organized
gigs promoting the material from the second album.
The beginning of 1995 saw the Rave the City event, which was in fact the
band's first real live act. In February 1995 the NS+ television channel started
broadcasting Rave-o-lution, in collaboration with Noise Destruction's
members. The show presented the house and techno movement, both
abroad and in Yugoslavia. The band was very well received by the audience, so
they decided to improve their sound with better equipment in their studio. By
the end of 1995 the band had finished the tracks for another album, which was
never released.
In January 1996 Noise Destruction organized the NS Electronic
Sessions party at Novi Sad's House of Youth, with another live
appearance, together with the band Ssound Systemm (Noise Destruction's
Vanja and the jazz musician Dušan Šević). Right after that gig, DJZ and DJ
Fakir got a weekly residency at Novi Sad's Contrast club. In the next
few months Noise Destruction started live sessions at the Mega Dzi-Dzi
3D and Chill Out clubs. Drawing on the experience from those gigs,
they made material for another album and sent it to Germany. Guest appearances
in Niš, Zrenjanin and other places around Vojvodina followed.
In January 1997 Noise Destruction played in Belgrade's Industria for the second time, at the Yu-Goa 2 party. In February 1997 Vanja decided to leave the band and continue his work only as a part of Ssound Systemm, so Noise Destruction returned to its original lineup.
In June 1997 Noise Destruction signed a deal with the German label Breeze Dance Division (a Neuform division) for their Diskko Family EP (12"). The EP has four tracks:
- Mr. Diskko
- Mrs. Diskko
- Diskko Junior
- Little Diskko Girl
At the moment Noise Destruction is working on a second single (EP) for the same label. Again, the EP will have four tracks:
